The band’s lead
singer, Cindy Sams, has been lucky enough to work
with a long list of Rochester's best players and singers.
She views bands as like “relationships”. She’s fallen in
love with her bands, and had her heart broken by them
sometimes, but moves on with a clearer sense of what she
wants. Cindy is excited about this band’s fresh song list:
from
”beautiful” to “all-out wailing”, with everything from 70’s
rock to much more current. The way the guys in this band
come together as friends and players makes her smile and
rock!
Many musicians,
when given the opportunity, will go on endlessly about who
they’ve played with, dropping names of anyone who has
achieved celebrity status. Lead guitarist and vocalist,
Richard Gramm, would have every right to go on and on!
He is, instead, glad to brag about making music with people
whose talent he respects and whose company he enjoys (and
his band feels every bit of the same admiration for him as
well). Richard wants the band’s audiences to find this as
great an experience as it already is for him!
The bassist for
the band is John Bucci, a classically trained
guitarist (but they let him in anyway). He’s been involved
in local music as a business owner and teacher for many
years, played with bands years back and freelanced, but it’s
been a few years since he’s taken on his own band. The band
is thrilled that John decided to jump in again, offering his
talent, ideas and dry sense of humor to the project.
The band's most
recent and welcome addition is Joe Randazzo on drums.
Joe was brought up rooted in R&B, Motown, and early Rock,
but chick-rock has always been his favorite (at least that's
what he told Cindy). In the 70's he traveled up and down the
east coast with a popular theatrical rock band. After taking
a break from the music scene for a while he's now ready to
rock again! Joe says that the talent and musical direction
of the Cindy Sams
Band is just what he's been
looking for!
Cindy
Sams Band is on break. Watch for dates!
