Cosco Musical History
From the kitchen
of his father’s restaurant, his Dad could hear a young voice wailing
along with the bands playing in the club while the young boy made
pizzas for the hungry crowd. One fateful day he dragged his son up
on the stage to sing a song with the band that was playing. A scared
14 year old boy sang his first song in front of an audience, this
product of a family of great singers and musicians has been doing it
ever since.
Jeff has been one of the best known and highly
acclaimed rock artists in the area for many years. Born in East
Rochester, New York, Jeff’s family traveled a bit. He grew up in
Canandaigua, New York as well as Clifton Springs, New York. He
quickly established a Western New York market that grew throughout
the Northeastern United States His voice has been heard on numerous
recordings and in thousands of performances with his bands across
New York State, Pennsylvania and Ohio, and other local states.
Nationally, Jeff has appeared on radio station
morning shows in almost every major city in the United States
numerous times, performing his unique personal all original songs.
International/National ad campaigns and program music
have featured Jeff's voice, for television and radio by Disney and
HBO and many national advertising agencies.
The internet has allowed Jeff's albums to be
purchased and heard by many people across the globe! His
international success grows everyday as the world becomes aware of
his music.
A voice strong and full of emotion is what you hear
from the first note of his performances till the last. With his
dynamic range and versatility, Jeff can sing and write the most
challenging of songs.
With Cheater, Jeff's 1980's hit, "Ten Cent Love
Affair," sold over 10,000 copies. It was only released in New York,
Pennsylvania and Ohio - USA, yet reports have come from all over the
United States and Europe from Cheater fans and Jeff Cosco fans!
Jeff continues his strong writing, recording and
performing abilities into the new millennium! In 2006 Jeff has
released his latest CD “Something…!"
* Jeff has been a guest performer with many national
recording artists such as Lou Gramm, Foreigner, Lew Soloff,
Blood Sweat and Tears, Glenn Medieros, The Rochester Philharmonic
Orchestra, and others.
* Jeff has shared the stage with Steve Marriott and
Humble Pie, Head East, Bad Company, 38 Special, The Kings, Tommy
Tutone, Eddie Money, Juice Newton, The Spencer Davis Group, Martha
Reeves, John Kay and Steppenwolf, Burton Cummings, Black Sheep, The
Good Rats, Gregg Allman, Starship, The Goo Goo Dolls, Jonathan
Edwards, Ray Price of Foghat, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more!
*Jeff has performed the National Anthem for numerous
local events as well as ESPN's boxing!
